The Carbunco or Ántrax is an acute infectious disease and burdens, produced by the esporas of the Bacillus bacterium anthracis.
Generally, it attacks domestic animals such as cows, ewes, goats, pigs, horses and camels, in addition to a some wild animals. Also it can affect the people who have contact with ill or died animals because of this disease, because the skin, the wool or the hair of these animals can contain esporas of the bacterium and transmit them to that touches them. Similarly, if the cooked meat of an infected animal eats badly is possibility of contracting it.
It constitutes a zoonosis in which the animals and man can become infected of the same source of infection: cutaneous, respiratory or digestive route:
* The cutaneous Anthrax takes place when the bacterium enters by a wound the skin. It initiates like a swelling, resemblance to the produced one by the puncture of an insect, that is developed until producing an almost painless ulcer, with dead weaves in center. This type of infection can produce an index of deaths of the 20 percent if well-taken care of doctors are not received.
* The respiratory Anthrax that takes place by inhalation generates a disorder respiratory. Their symptoms are similar to those of common resfriado, nevertheless, after several days can be complicated until taking to the death.
As we saw the symptoms of the Anthrax differ depending on how the infection was contracted, and appear after 4 to 7 days after the infection, anatomopatológicamente the symptoms are acute infarct of bazo, sanguineous incoagulabilidad and edema subcutaneous serohemorrágico.
