Allergy
What is the allergy?
The allergy is a state of hypersensitivity of the organism, that takes place by the action of a certain substance specifies, called alérgeno.
The allergy is pronounced by abnormal reactions of certain sectors of the organism, mainly in the case of the dog and cat: the skin, whenever the sensibilizantes substances or other nonspecific stimuli act, but able to such trigger phenomena in the organism once sensitized.
A same individual can sensitize itself to several alérgenos; the sensibilización can be permanent, be extinguished after some time, and have oscillations or change of one to another alérgeno.
In order to identify the substance cause of the allergy the alergénicas, consisting of tests are used causing a reaction in the skin of the patient by the contact, by means of escarificación or by intraskin injection, of the alérgeno problem (cutaneous tests). Also sanguineous laboratory tests that determine the created antibodies to destroy those alérgenos (antigen) and examinations that show the existence of a hypersensitivity, by the presence of cells exist eosinófilas (variety of sanguineous cells that increases in allergic states).
