Blastomicosis
It is a micosis deciphers in Latin America, caused by the Blastomyces dermatidis. It is a zoonosis, because an infected mascot can infect the man besides to suffer the disease.
A pulmonary, cutaneous form is observed and sistémica, attacking the lungs, and sometimes it disperses in the skin and other parts of the body.
Symptoms
* Respiratory: Loss of weight, weakness, difficult breathing, cough, upheavals of nervous type.
* Cutaneous one characterizes by nodules and abscesses that would ulceran and drain.
* Sistémica is similar to the one of the Norcardiosis.
Diagnosis
Radiográficos examinations and analysis of laboratory.
Therapy
Surgical extirpation (when it is possible) and use of a Anfotericina B (usually she is quite effective like treatment).
The improvements usually happen one week after taking the medicine, and the fungus disappears gradually. In some cases a continuous treatment with Itraconazol and Ketoconazol is necessary., associated with vitamins of group B.
