Borreliosis

Acute inflammatory Enferrmedad bacterial (Borrelia burdogferi) and transmitted by the puncture of a garrapata of the Ixodes sort.
Call for being it deciphers for the first time in the city of Lyme, Connecticut, in 1975 (it deciphers in dogs just by years 80). Today an endemic disease in many parts of the world is considered
The red deers and the rats, that serve as hosts the garrapata, are more the frequently infected animals, but the domestic animals also are guests in the cycle of reproduction of the garrapatas (larva-nymph-it forms adult).
Patogenia of the disease is not well-known totally but in the chronic form it seems to be that the injuries are inmunomediadas.

Symptoms
This disease is difficult to diagnose then its symptoms imitate to those of other diseases

* Anorexy
* Fever
* Depression
* Chronic Cojera and pain to articulate.
* Others (it can have abdominal effusion and linfadenopatía, in a percentage under cases appears cardiac, neurological and renal disease by glomerulonefritis)

The treatment consists of the antibiotic administration according to the stages and manifestations: tetracycline, doxiciclina, cefuroxima and penicillin.
The real effectiveness of the precocious treatment in the appearance of neurological injuries is not known, reason why this treatment does not seem to guarantee the lack of complications in this sense.

If the disease is diagnosed soon (in the first stages) is cured with antibiotics reason why the prognosis is favorable, however without treatment or a delayed diagnosis can have complications in the very serious joints, heart and the nervous system
